I have started B-12 injections and they seem to help me on the days I take the injections but now I tend to overdo it because I will have more energy on those days and it takes some if the joint pain away. I wish everyone could feel what it is like to be in my body, they would be so grateful for the bodies they have.
A normal persons pain level is around 1/2 on a bad day. My level on a good day is 5/6. My levels on a bad day are surpassing 10! But hey, it is what it is and I'm living with it like I always do. Not complaint, just wishing for a pain free life on the horizon. Spirits are still high and my thoughts are with all my fellow Lymies out there.
Procedure of the month: RADIOACTIVE EGGS!
So on the venture to find out what is going on with my stomach I did a Gastric Emptying Study today. YES, I know it does not sound pleasant at all...down right disgusting sounding but it was one of the most non-invasive tests I have ever had. I get wheeled to Radiology because it's a "bad" day and Ash drove me. The nurse brings me back and tells me to have a seat on the table. I sit down and she says how do you like your eggs? Me, a little confused say scrambled or sunny side up. She says great , and yells to the nurse in a little room "one order of scrambled radioactive eggs with salt"! I am pretty concerned at thus point but playing along. The nurse brings a tray with scrambled eggs, salt and pepper. I look down and tell her I was expecting some lime green colored eggs or something. She says I know right? She tells me she has been telling them to add food coloring so it would look like it sounds. I thought this was pretty amusing! So apparently they put a radioactive agent in the eggs so they can see it on its journey. After consuming the eggs I laid down on the bed still in my clothes and waited an excruciating hour and a half till it was done. I say it was excruciating because food does not agree with me and within minutes I had a barf bin and cold rag on my head...no fun! I made it through and glad it's over!
Last Monday I had a sleep study and I hope they got what they wanted as I do not sleep much. I did however sleep for three and a half hours and woke 5/6 times in that time frame. No good!
The doc took me off all my oral antibiotics and I'm only on IV ones for now. I go back on Orals next week. So that's an update for now. Thank you to everyone for all the support...y'all ROCK!!!
